This was our first time to the Hofbrauhaus German restaurant/beer hall/biergarten in St. Petersburg Florida. We were quite amazed by the ambiance! The place was decorated as if we are sitting in an outdoor German square with sunny blue skies. The atmosphere was festive and boisterous. There were two accordion players that sang and played traditional and pop songs. They were the highlight of the night.
For appetizer we ordered the Tower of Sausages!
There were about five different sausages, sauerkraut, and pretzels on the tower. This was just the beginning of the feast!
Tuesday features 2 for 1 schnitzels and kids eat free. We ordered two schnitzel weiner art, one pork and one chicken, lightly breaded, crisp, and golden brown. We also ordered a grillhendl, a roasted half chicken stuffed with parsley, beer butter, and onions. The last dish we ordered was Sauerbraten, pot roast marinated in red wine.
All was tasty. Though I can't say it was the BEST German food I've had, we had a great time and was well entertained.
These entertainers congratulated my good friend, Joshua, for the good news of being accepted into the youth orchestra by singing him a special song. It was a night he'll never forget!
